Señor Choco
(€127.14 pro Liter)
Meet Señor Choco. With a snap of his metaphorical fingers, he'll be dancing the flamenco on your tongue, leaving deep and lasting notes of swirling chocolate, spontaneous bursts of leathery red fruit and a soft kiss of spice. The feel of enjoying a sunset at the Costa, the flavors singing and swirling through a warm summer night, right after necking a Bru and some battered Tapas. Choco loves seeing his family grow, and this is a cask for the VAME family; one could call it a VAME Family Cask, and it's muy suave.
Nose
A warm and complex opening with rich aromas of chocolate spice. Subtle hints of vanilla and honey, as well as citrus, indicate the bourbon cask influences, while subtle spicy notes of nutmeg resonate in the background.
Palate
Full-bodied and smooth, with a perfect balance between sweet and spicy. The dark chocolate becomes more intense and reminiscent of fine pralines, accompanied by a velvety cocoa bitterness. The citrus notes come to the fore again, mixed with a nuance of darker fruits as well.
Finish
Long and warming, with a lingering sweetness of chocolate and cocoa, paired with a fine dryness from oak. Citrus freshness and a subtle spice gently fade and invite you to take the next sip
